Vote NO on Prop A
The Billionaires’ Billion $ Boondoggle Bond
Vote NO on Prop A! No more broken promises. No more blank checks. No more City Hall slush funds.
Vote NO on Prop A! so we can have Equal Fire Protection and Earthquake Safety for All!
Prop A has little to do with earthquake safety. It’s a $200 million bailout for Muni (nearly 40% of the bond) and a City Hall slush fund, mostly for SFPUC, so they can do whatever they want with whatever is left over after the top-cut for Muni.
Prop A is the Billionaires’ Billion $ Boondoggle Bond. The entire City, every voter, has gotten fleeced by this ESER Bond Program, and those of us that live in the unprotected western and southern neighborhoods (two-thirds of the City) have also been handed the fuzzy end of the lollipop, over and over again.
Tired of getting fleeced by City Hall and the Mayor’s Billionaire-Boys-Club? Then Vote NO on A, send a message… No more! No more bailouts! No more boondoggles! No more Billion $ Bonds that serve the interest of billionaires and not the people of San Francisco.
Yep, our old D4 nemesis Chris Larsen, new-found special Billionaire buddy of the Mayor, throwing down a cool half-million — $500,000 — to help the Mayor buy an election.
Since Chris’ last effort to buy an election of interest to D4 and The Sunset (and a reprieve for his pal, the erstwhile Supervisor Joel Engardio) did not work out well at all — because it failed utterly — Chris figured he double-down and double his contribution this time. Chris Larsen and Mayor Lurie have amassed an election-buying slush fund of over $1 Million for the Billion $ Boondoggle Campaign Fund.
This is what it looks like when billionaires try to buy elections and entire governments, e.g. the City and County of San Francisco.
Alongside all of the other reasons I have written about here at Though the Heavens Fall, this calls for the voters of San Francisco to REJECT the Billionaires’ Billion $ Boondoggle Bond!

Consider me jaded, but why all this money from people who have better fire protection than anyone in the western and southern areas of the City? Why does a smart man like Chris Larsen want this boondoggle so badly?
